With "Crescent", recorded April 27 and June 1, 1964 at Van Gelder Studio, Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, John Coltrane firmly established himself as a most formative composer with its release later that year. The genius of John Coltrane literally rushes forth with his playing of these five compositions featuring McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones.

This pressing is an all-analog 180g vinyl LP remastered and pressed at Quality Record Pressings, with mastering done by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound from the original analog tapes and features packaging by Stoughton Printing Co. in high-quality gatefold sleeves with tip-on jackets.
